Reducing interoperability gas fees through protocol-level batching and fee markets

Exchanges mitigate that risk with deposit tagging, explicit network labels and customer support, but those safeguards can add steps and delays. If tokens are granted mainly for time spent, inflationary pressure can erode long-term value and encourage grinding. They also create grinding paths where attackers optimize for rewards rather than network value.
